Celebrating 25 Years Of Sharing Mother Nature’s Superfood

To say that the last quarter of a century has flown by for NatureBee would be an understatement. My father, Jeff, started from scratch all those years ago, and he turned his vision of natural health – simplified – into a household name.

Jeff was facing common issues that people do when they are middle aged (being overweight and having high cholesterol to name a few). After speaking to a friend that happened to be a beekeeper, he began consuming bee pollen every day. All it took was three months to completely transform him and he earned a clean bill of health. Jeff wasn’t alone in his struggles, and that’s where the idea for NatureBee was born.

The company has since grown into a global business with customers around the world. It is rewarding feeling for us as a New Zealand family-run operation, and we’ve been rapidly expanding across-the-ditch with our friends in Australia. We’ve always believed that better health is for everyone, and it shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag, pill divider, or long list of artificial ingredients. Our inventory has grown from bee pollen, honey, royal jelly and propolis to an extensive range of natural products to help support every aspect of people’s health and wellbeing. I recently shared a blog about finding a good quality supplement in a market that can sometimes feel like the Wild West, and we’re proud of our ethos that natural is best underpinning everything we do. In fact, we’re so confident that Mother Nature’s goodness is the best source that we offer a money back guarantee.

Reflecting on my own journey with NatureBee, I’m extremely heartened by the growth we experienced in the last few years as attention to lifestyle and work-life balance has been brought into focus. We’ll be expanding our inventory once again later in 2023 (watch this space) as we continue to adapt to our customer needs and behaviours. You’re busy people, I get it, and the way you support your health has to work for you.

Coming up through the business, I’ve learned a few things about myself along the way. I had a chat to the team at Idealog about how belonging to the Gen X cohort has meant navigating NatureBee’s existing legacy, while growing our digital presence and bringing my personality to the business.

It has been a source of joy for me to share some really interesting conversations from a cross section of guests on our At Source podcast. It’s wellness on the go, and I hope you come across an episode, or even a snippet, that sparks something in you to take a step off the merry-go-round and think about how your daily life supports or hinders your health. How different could your life look if you did one small thing better each day? Compound interest everyone!

So, what’s on the cards for the future? While I don’t have a crystal ball, what I do love about bee pollen is that it’s for everyone, from age 5 through to 95. It has the power to support so many health issues we may face throughout our lives. And, as we move on to the next chapter after a global reset of sorts, it feels like a privilege to be a part of making the conversation of health in all aspects of life prevalent. It has been fascinating to see the younger generation coming through, already so health-conscious, and I look forward to joining them early in their journey through better living, as well as seeing bee pollen become a mainstream tool for busy people everywhere.

Here’s to the next 25 years. Cheers!
