Mental Health Awareness Week – Take Time To Korero

The 2021 theme for mental health awareness week is ‘Take Time To Korero’ – because a little chat can go a long way. Korero has always been a huge part of the NatureBee culture; whether having conversations with key industry partners or bringing people together to talk about their lives and work, the stories we share help shape who we are, build community and friendship, and pave the way for better things to come.

At Source, our wellness podcast, was inspired by our belief in the value of heart-to-heart connections and stories. Along the way, we have met and talked with some incredible people who have not only contributed to the korero but also given our listeners a glimpse into their mindset and how we can all focus on mental clarity and wellbeing.

At Source is now two seasons strong and available on all major podcast platforms:

Why NatureBee is the perfect partner for the NTA

Continuing our mission to spread the word about superfoods and supplements, we’re excited to announce our new partnership with the New Zealand Trucking Association (NTA), the organisation for the trucking industry which offers members representation, help to run a safe and profitable business, unlimited advice, advocacy, discount schemes and industry initiatives.

Truckies in New Zealand do an amazing job – they keep our economy going, our supermarkets stocked and our businesses running. But they bear a huge responsibility and have to work long hours in order to get the job done, often reaching for caffeine and sugary drinks to keep them going.

NatureBee has an alternative for drivers that is safer, more effective and much healthier in the long run. Our natural Power Pollen superfood is made from 100% natural bee pollen and is designed to give users:

  • More sustained energy.
  • Increased mental alertness.
  • Better quality sleep.
  • Support for their body’s natural immunity.
  • An overall increase in health and wellbeing.
  • Support for digestion.

Bee pollen is the perfect fuel for truckies who need to be mentally sharp for long-distance driving. By weight it has double the calcium of milk, five times the protein of red meat, 25 times the vitamin A of carrots and 58 times the iron of spinach. It’s also packed with many micronutrients, almost all known minerals and much more.

But don’t take our word for it, here’s what one of our truckie customers had to say about Power Pollen: “I’ve only been on this just over a week, and I’ve sailed through this week. I knock off at 5.30 and I’m still fresh. I just can’t believe it… mate, this is sensational.”

NTA Health and Safety Month

As part of its dedication to helping Kiwis run profitable, safe trucking businesses, the NTA launched an exciting initiative for the month of August – Health and Safety Month with Safe Business Solutions.

The month focused on four topical subjects: Fleet Management, Traffic Management, Drugs, Alcohol & Fatigue and Accident Investigations. The goal was to bring workplace wellbeing, health and safety to the forefront of people’s minds as a common responsibility, and the aim of the campaign was to encourage the transport industry to do more than just complete a health and safety manual that collects dust on a manager’s shelf. NTA provided awareness statistics, case studies, advice, prizes and free health and safety resources throughout the month.

It was a huge success and a great example of how businesses can work together – just as NTA has now teamed up with NatureBee to help deliver safer nutrition and healthier energy to members. If you’d like to find out more about NTA’s safety month and the relevant information, visit the website.

To acknowledge the important work our truckies do and to celebrate the new partnership, NatureBee is giving away free Power Pollen to the first 30 NZ truckies and for those that miss out a 10% off discount offer for three months.
